Getting WoW setup for the first time!

This is my first class foray into World of Warcraft, or at least it was to get basically get set up and ready for our group intro class. I am sure we are not through with jokadiaGRID, I know that we will be back there to jokadia! This foray into WOW is an additional component to our learning.

I was trying to get this going yesterday and was rudely interrupted by severe (big scary windy stormy) thunderstorms. I don't run my computer in those. Then the power was out for the night. I slept, and resigned my self to sleeping. I guess that does not hurt. Today I am raring to go.

A female dwarf priest named Minitz

I have a female dwarf priest named Minitz. I named her Minitz so it would the rest of the class know who we were as suggested. She is a priestess with grey hair and a staff. I like staffs I used to have one for hiking, but not spell casting.
Avatar configuration is simpler here. This is time saving, and well simpler. No deep thinking about consequences. Oh I am sure there are some but not as many since you can only change things yourself a little bit.
I am in RP at Sisters of Elune as instructed.

I ran into Denabean (a classmate) which was wild timing since it was my first time in. I am signed up for Thursday orientation, but I might go tonight, if I am not still desperately trying to get work done.

A Quest for Rockjaw Invaders

I played around the scenery took a few minutes to go over the menus a bit. I did one quest to kill few of these Rockjaw Invaders for Joren Ironstock. He was extremely noisy killing these things off himself. Dead foes you kill have loot in their bodies, don't forget to get swag. Then I went back and got my reward, coin and an expensive pair of britches with lots of armor protection that I can't quite wear yet. Then he insists on another quest and I killed just one of these things and I went to level 2. At this point perhaps I will wait for my comrades!

I am waiting, will I be able to continue to wait is the question. Thursday is a long time from now. There is always the orientation tonight too. :/ hmmm.

Get work done now or perish trying...

Oh, but I will wait because I am trying to get my work done, with all classes and it is looking bleak. There is only one way to fix that and that is to work on it. I love this school I really do. It just seems to go too fast in trimesters! Plus life has challenges, which we all have. Enough of my complaint on that, we are all quite lucky to be here. I know I feel quite fortunate.

Later all!

Regardless, WoW shall be interesting. I am not sure yet how this will reveal to be a pedagogical tool, but I know it will. See you all later!
